When I think back on my time with this incredible organization, I’m reminded of how much we accomplished together. Before joining, I served as Head Examiner at the state, working through everything from cease-and-desist orders to memorandums of understanding. Those experiences taught me the value of integrity and collaboration, values I saw reflected here from day one.
When I was invited to lead the trust company on a two-year contract, I found a team that was not only cooperative but truly committed to excellence. Everyone pitched in, everyone cared, and it made the work enjoyable and meaningful.
One challenge stands out: the building we were in at the time was in rough shape with mold issues, water damage, you name it. We brought in water experts, worked with city and state officials, and made the tough decision to move. That move to the 5th floor of the building you still call home today wasn’t just about a better space; it was about creating an environment where people and ideas could thrive.
That period was full of opportunity: improving services, refining processes, and elevating client interactions. What impressed me most was the spirit of cooperation. It wasn’t just my effort; it was everyone’s. Together, we built something more substantial, and that spirit continues to define this organization.
I’m proud to have been part of that chapter and even prouder to see how far you’ve come. Congratulations on 30 years! You’ve earned every bit of this celebration.
